It’s In The Bag

A Nap To It! Challenge

Ok, I admit it.  I’m not always great about remembering to bring my canvas bags in with me when I go shopping.  I always remember them when I go grocery shopping…it’s when I do other shopping that I sometimes forget.  I end up in a store, my canvas bags tucked in safely in the trunk of my car and I find myself taking another shopping bag home with me.

Up until recently, I’ve been using the largest shopping bag I have and storing all the smaller ones folded inside.  But the bag kept ripping, so I decided to make a little organizer for all the shopping bags I (mistakenly) accumulate.

This was a super easy (and cheap!) project that I was able to do in about a half an hour while Annabelle napped.

I used two empty cardboard boxes that I had…

…cut off the top-fold-over-parts (that’s a technical term) and wrapped them in contact paper.  I chose contact paper that had a random, swirly design, so I could simply cover the boxes and not worry about the pattern lining up.  Then I made little labels for the boxes (I made one for my gift bag collection too) and voila, I was done.

Now my shopping and gift bags are all neat and tidy and looking pretty cute in their storage boxes.
