Every year Mike and I throw a big Christmas party for our friends. This year’s is tomorrow night, so I am running around baking and cooking…AND mixing up a BIG bowl of Red Sangria (which I rename Santa’s Sangria for the night). I got this recipe from my sister-in-law Diana. It’s best if you make it the day before you are serving it, so the fruit can soak up all the merriness.
2 Large Bottles Merlot Wine
2 Large Bottles Moscato Wine
3/4 Cup Triple Sec
1/2 Cup Black Berry Brandy
1 1/2 Cups Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice (no pulp)
1/4 Cup Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice (no pulp)
1/4 Cup Lime Juice
1/4 Cup Super Fine Sugar
1 1/2 Red Delicious Apples Chopped
1 1/2 Granny Smith Apples Chopped
1 Sliced Lemon
1 Sliced Lime
2 Sliced Oranges
Mix together and let sit overnight. Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas!
