Hot Chocolate And Coffee Bar

Every year when we throw our Christmas party, we try something new…a new appetizer…a new drink.  And then I write up a ton of notes when the party is over, so I can remember what worked and what didn’t.  What got eaten and what no one touched.  What we made the perfect amount of and what we had way too much of.  It makes prepping for the party the next year so (SO) much easier.

This year we decided to try out a Hot Chocolate And Coffee Bar.  We set it up in the nook in our kitchen where we keep our Keurig coffee machine.

I made a little sign (by wrapping a piece of poster board  with wrapping paper)…

Hot Chocolate and Coffee BarAnd we put out a carafe of Hot Chocolate, bowls of K-cups for people to make regular and decaf coffee, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, Peppermint Schnapps (to jazz up your hot cocoa) and peppermint stirrers.

Peppermint StirrersWe made the whipped cream all kinds of fancy by putting it on ice in a wine bucket.

Hot Chocolate BarI didn’t have any that night, but this picture is making me want to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa…with extra mini marshmallows of course!

That sounds like a pretty great Friday night.  Yup, it’s the little things.
