A Personalized Alphabet Book

My sweet husband celebrated his birthday yesterday.  Among his birthday loot, was a book I made for him from Annabelle titled: “Annabelle & Daddy’s Alphabet Book”.  The book is filled with 26 pictures (one for each letter of the alphabet) of Annabelle and her daddy.

B Is For BeachI went through all my iPhoto albums and choose some of my favorite pictures of Mike and Annabelle through the years…

c is for 2Then I used my good ol’ friend PicMonkey to caption the photos.

L is For LoveSome naturally lent themselves to a letter and a word…

G is for gymnastics

K is for kissing…while others forced me to be a bit more creative.

M is for mischief

Q is for quiet time

It took me a little while to make, but I love how it turned out.  Mike of course adored his gift and Annabelle couldn’t wait to read it.  (I resisted showing it to her beforehand because, well, the girl can’t keep a secret.)

The only issue I encountered was putting the captions of a few pictures too close to where the book was bound.  This happened on three photos.  So my advice to anyone making a book like this would be, put all captions for pictures on the left, on the left, and all captions for pictures on the right, on the right.  This will prevent your words from dipping into the fold of the book.

Regardless of this little hiccup, I have a feeling this sweet book will be well worn..and read…and loved.
